Sustainability

We at Keith Panel Systems understand the importance of sustainable operating practices.  From including materials in our product line that are able to contribute LEED points to your project, to recycling our office's paper waste, we continually seek methods of being "greener."  For example, our aluminum composite product, Alucobond, is comprised of aluminum face sheets which sandwich a polyethylene core.  Rather than disposing of the material, KPS has developed a valued relationship with a recycling facility that picks up the waste and is able to separate the two materials so that they can be re-used as post-consumer content.  Many of the panel systems that are proprietary to KPS utilize aluminum extrusions for structural support and attachment.  All of this aluminum features upwards of 25% recycled post industrial content.

It's all about making the right choices.  Our panel systems are able to incorporate various thicknesses of insulation outboard of the exterior substrate.  Not only is this method of insulating a sound building envelope practice, but it also allows us to meet high R-values that achieve the required LEED standard for the building.  The semi-rigid mineral wool insulation we endorse boasts numerous green properties as well as health benefits that make it the clear choice over extruded polystyrenes, especially in rainscreen application.

Doing our part to operate sustainably and help our clients construct environmentally conscious buildings is an objective that KPS is proud to be pursuing.
