SOLO District by Appia Developments is one of the largest planned communities in the Lower Mainland. In addition to podium-level retail space, Stratus and Altus are the first two of four towers that will provide 1,400 new homes and 275,000 square feet of office space.
We fabricated and installed 45,000 square feet of Alucobond in Champagne Metallic and West Pewter Mica. The massive south elevation canopy features steel beams and columns, wrapped in wood-grain finished aluminum composite, which provides the look of natural timber construction – without the associated costs. In addition, the extruded aluminum grilles are finished in a custom wood-grain powder coat, formulated to match the aluminum composite. These powder-coated wood-grain finishes meet fire code requirements without the maintenance of real wood.
