In 2017, we proudly contributed to the Edmonton Tower at the Ice District, a landmark project in architectural innovation. Our scope consisted of an aluminum screen wall, enhanced with Ombrae imaging technology and custom perforation, which featured a dynamic artwork depicting the movement and flow of a hockey player taking a slap shot. This striking design was evaluated through a full-scale mock-up, ensuring that the final result accurately captured the energy and motion of the artwork.

The integration of Ombrae Custom Perforation allowed for intricate detailing and captivating light effects, transforming the screen wall into a focal point of the building’s facade. With our Lock Mount System, installation was seamless, providing a secure and precise fit while maintaining the architectural vision of Stantec Architecture. The Edmonton Tower at the Ice District now stands as a testament to the fusion of advanced materials and artistic design, showcasing how innovative panel systems can enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of modern architecture
